In this study, about 181 thousand people were asked to fill out a questionnaire containing questions about their health condition during the past two years as well as their diet over the past four years. "What's interesting about this research is the content of anthocyanins apparently contributed so much in the prevention of hypertension," said Prof Aedin Cassidy, who became leader of the study.
